Cape Landing Blackwood Wines
Our ‘Blackwood’ Series is named after the mighty Blackwood River, into which all rain and ground water from Cape Landing’s ecosystem flows.
The finest parcels of fruit from each vintage year are selected from individual vines, each distinguished by clone, aspect, soil and overall fruit quality.
From this exceptional fruit we make a series of wines that reflect the pinnacle of viticulture and the very best of wine making in Margaret River.

Every Cape Landing Blackwood wine reflects all of these qualities.
Whole cluster hand-picked fruit, overnight cold storage, long cool fermentation, followed by extended maturation, over lees and with regular bâtonngage, in carefully selected French Oak, all contribute to the production of classic Margaret River wines of great distinction.
Our Blackwood series of Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Shiraz (Syrah), Malbec and Sauvignon Blanc wines will only be produced if justified by overall vintage quality in any particular growing season.
The volume of wine produced for each Blackwood series wine will also depend on vintage quality.
Production quantities will vary, but will generally be restricted to less than 300 six bottle cases in any vintage year.
All Blackwood wines will benefit from extended maturation in bottle.
Each bottle of Blackwood wine is carefully hand polished and packed in custom Australian made wooden cases, which provide for safe, secure cellar storage.
